Rotunda Hospital Research Department
The Rotunda Hospital believes that the provision of the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies requires continuous practice improvement. Research that develops or tests new ideas, technologies or therapies provides the evidence required to improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes. Other research may point the way towards an improved quality of experience for mothers and their babies.
Evidence that is generated from studies that include the Rotunda’s patient population are of particular relevance, and may be of direct benefit, to hospital patients and staff. Rotunda staff are currently actively engaged in a number of research activities in five main research streams; maternal medicine, fetal medicine, neonates, infectious disease, health systems and education.
