French Foodie In Dublin Talks About Her Ticketing Needs
Background
Ketty aka French Foodie in Dublin is from the Loire Valley in France. She moved to Dublin in 2004, and started French Foodie in Dublin in 2012 as a journal of her food experiences and as a means to spread her love about Dublin’s food scene. Since then the blog has won several awards and has been featured in many national publications. She also runs blogging workshops and works as a freelance social media manager. She’s a freelance writer and currently writes for Groupon City Guide and has written for My Little Paris, IMAGE.ie and the Irish Independent.
Challenges
The promotion of the event has largely been through word of mouth however a feature article in the Irish Times helped drive interest. She believes that Ireland does not have much of a reputation for food tourism something that she hopes to change. On the payment side of things she had been using Paypal prior to using Eventbrite and found it difficult to work with.
Solution
Attendees can share with their network via their social media platforms when they are attending an event which helps towards growing attendance numbers and her brand. For payment she found Eventbrite an easy to use solution, an attendee on the tour commented that the fact that the event was ticketed through Eventbrite made him feel that his payment was safe as he trusted the brand.
