Public Events Roundtable

Public events enrich cities, towns and villages. They are an economic benefit to local businesses, a tourism draw for visitors and they energise local communities. We need more people to create more events for all the reasons outlined earlier. We wanted to explore what is preventing local people from creating and executing events so we invited a roundtable of event experts to discuss the possible pain points for organisers and also to recommend solutions.

The roundtable brought together a cross-section of leading Irish events experts to consider how to encourage more people to create events in 2016. Download the free report below to read the experts’ findings and recommendations, including:

  • What prevents people from actually starting up their own events?
  • Is There a Need for a Centralised Advisory & Support Service for Public Events?
  • Organiser Demand vs Resource Constraints of Public Bodies
  • What’s Opportunity of Centralised Event Marketing?
  • Is There Good Enough Availability and Access to Venues?
  • Is There Good Enough Availability and Access to Funding?
