Crawford Art Gallery is temporarily closed to facilitate necessary redevelopment work.Crawford Art Gallery is one of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions, charged with the care of over 3,500 diverse artworks from the National Collection, from 18th century Irish and European painting and sculpture, through to contemporary video installations.In 2024, Crawford Art Gallery embarked on an ambitious redevelopment project, Transforming Crawford Art Gallery, to ensure the gallery’s historic buildings in the heart of Cork city are conserved and enhanced for generations to come.From 22 September 2024, Crawford Art Gallery is temporarily closed to the public to facilitate these redevelopment works.
