Organizer of Urban Farm Onsite Education Series
Fresh Future Farm operates a nonprofit farm and USDA grocery store on .8 acres in North Charleston, SC. Few grocery stores can boast that their store brand products are grown right outside the door.  The farm grows chemical-free produce that is sold at peak freshness. Along with the basic groceries and dry goods, customers can find specialty foods that cater to most dietary needs. This non-profit urban grocery accepts SNAP (EBT) benefits in addition to cash, debit and credit cards.Any waste is tossed to the red wigglers or the compost pile. The FFF team use ancestral farming and conservation principles to grow their crops. Not only do we sell quality foods, but we also created an oasis on a vacant city lot that has attracted frogs, dragonflies, butterflies, bees, spiders and lizards back to our space. Our farming techniques remediate the soil from the top down and aid in the absorption of massive amounts of rainwater (and snow) – our crops have not flooded/been contaminated by flood water despite two years of extreme rain events and a heavy snow storm. No monoculture here, depending on the season you can find blackberries, citrus, arugula, carrots, spring onions, mustards, rosemary, bananas and much more for sale. The farm stays as busy as our beehive. Harvest meals, farm babies classes, volunteer crab cracks and other social events welcome the public.Visit us at 2008 Success Street, North Charleston. And follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
