10th Annual Conference of the SMEI with keynote speakers Professor Marie McCarthy (University of Michigan), Dr Susan O'Neill (Simon Fraser University) and Nate Holder musician/music educator (Royal Northern College of Music). This three-day online conference features research papers, symposia, posters, workshops and performances from Irish and international music educators, researchers and experts.

Information provided for registration will not be divulged to any outside agency or individual. All registration data will be held in a database for administrative purposes. Financial information that is collected is used solely to bill the user for products and services.

The conference organisers reserve the right to modify the programme in the event of unforeseen circumstances without advance notification to the delegates.

What's the refund policy?

For written cancellations received on or before 27th October 2021, a full refund will be made.

For written cancellations received between 28 October and 3 November half of the registration fee will be refunded.

After 3 November no refund will be made.

The Society for Music Education in Ireland (SMEI) is as an umbrella body of individuals, groups, institutions and organisations practicing in various aspects of music education on the island. It provides a forum whereby members can discuss issues of common concern, identify areas of common practice and share information on topics of mutual interest. SMEI engages with other national music and music education organisations, and corresponds with governmental agencies on matters relating to music education advocacy. It is also actively involved in the facilitation of workshops, conferences and showcase events at regional and national levels.
