The theme of this year’s Action Research Group Ireland’s (ARGI) annual colloquium is Action Research for a Sustainable Future. In our world beset with eco-social crises, action research provides an approach through which the so-called grand challenges may be confronted and valuable actionable knowledge created.
For the Action Research Colloquium 2023 we will engage in conversations about using action research to problematize and to generate actionable knowledge from attempts to create a sustainable future for all. Contributions may be about interconnected systems (human, animal, plant) and the influence of social processes and can include a range of environmental, cultural, economic and social issues.
This year the event will be hosted by the School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology, TU Dublin. Keynote speakers are Dr Hillary Bradbury and Prof David Coughlan, both authorities in the field of Action Research. Prof. Coughlan is Professor Emeritus at the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin and Dr Bradbury is Founder and Curator at AR+.
The event will take place in person on TU Dublin's Grangegorman Campus on Thursday June 29th with a pre-colloquium workshop and masterclass (both optional) taking place on Wednesday June 28th.
