About this event

This year, in light of current circumstances, CTYI will run online courses in lieu of our summer programme. These courses are available to qualified secondary school students aged 13-17 years.

Students may take a two week course on either Session 1 or Session 2, but not both. These courses are for 50 hours tuition for two weeks and are made up of 25 hours per week. This Eventbrite page is for two week courses on Session 1, 22nd June to 3rd July and Session 2, 13th July to 24th July.

Class sizes are small with up to 18 students per class. Classes have an instructor and a teaching assistant. CTYI staff are chosen on the basis of mastery of the subject, enthusiasm and good communication skills. Class runs from 10 to 4 every day with 2.5 hours teaching time each day and 2.5 hours research/study time and an hour for lunch. We will be running optional social activities between 4:15 and 5:45. Courses will take place over Zoom, therefore students will need access to a device which Zoom can be used on and the internet. Students are assigned to courses on a first-come, first-served basis. If the course you are interested in is full, we would ask you to consider an alternative one.

To apply for one of these exciting courses please purchase the relevant ticket. The cost of a two week course on the CAT Online Summer Programme is €500 (+ Eventbrite Booking Fee). PLEASE KEEP A RECORD OF THE EMAIL ADDRESS USED FOR THE PURCHASE. This address will be used for contact regarding the programme.

CTY Ireland aims to allow all talented students to reach their potential both academically and socially by providing relevant and interesting challenges based on ability and interest rather than age. CTY Ireland was established at Dublin City University in 1992 to meet the needs of high ability students aged 6 to 17 years from Ireland and abroad. Since the first summer programme in 1993 over 35,000 students have attended or participated in programmes run by CTY Ireland.
