About this Event
All in the virtual world of zoom we will delve into boats, yards and workshops to see and hear "Behind the Scenes" of maritime adventurers and professionals, then join them for a relaxed questions and answers opportunity.
The line up so far includes ...
- Meet up with Pat Lawless as he prepares his Saltram Saga 36 for the 2023 Golden Globe.
- Join his brother Peter Lawless as he prepares his beloved Rival 41, Waxwing, for his solo non-stop world circumnavigation.
- Take a tour of the sail loft at UK McWilliams Sails with Barry Hayes.
- Join craftsman, Stephen Morris, in Kilrush Boatyard and see what latest boat masterpiece he is working on.
- See Roger Betts of Union Chandlery busy working in his rigging workshop.
- And catch up with Ruairi (age 11) and Lilian (age13) to find out what it was really like sailing round the Atlantic on board 13m Bruce Roberts Danu, hiking up mountains and exploring jungles.
All followed by time to chat together and share a few of our own sea stories.
This event is zoom and your zoom code will be emailed to you 1 week prior to the event. We respectfully ask you not to share your code, you did pay a contribution to RNLI for it after all.

- All tickets sold before 21st April will enter into a draw to win from a selection of nautical prizes.
