Description

This is the second meeting of the Irish Freshwater Sciences Association, formally the Annual Irish Freshwater Biologists Meeting. It will take place on 6th March 2020 in Trinity College Dublin

The theme of the first session will be "Managing our freshwaters for improved water quality". This session will consist of 12-minute presentations (plus 3 minutes for questions) of well-advanced or completed projects. Speakers will have the opportunity to illustrate the application of their research findings for both and management of freshwater resources.

In the second session there will be 7-minute presentations (plus 3 minutes for questions) on other well-advanced projects and an opportunity to deliver a 2 minute elevator pitch for new projects.

Advance registration and payment of the non-refundable booking fee is necessary before Friday 28th February.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We recommend that you travel to the meeting via public transport. Trinity College's campus can be accessed by a wide range of bus, luas and dart services. There is no car parking facilities on the campus, however there are car parking facilities located at the Park Rite on Fleet Street (https://www.parkrite.ie/carparks/fleet) or the Setanta Qpark (https://tinyurl.com/ru9zdc9).

What are my accommodation options for the event?

There are multiple hotels located in Dublin's City Centre. The Trinity City Hotel (www.trinitycityhotel.com) and the Davenport Hotel (www.davenporthotel.ie) and the closest hotels to the campus.

Abstracts of no more than 150 words should be submitted to Dr. Emma Siddall (emma.siddall@tcd.ie) before the 17th February
