32nd CIArb Irish Branch ADR Forum

CIArb Ireland runs the 32nd monthly Round Table ADR Law Forum on 31 May 2016. Attendees will hear two speakers in a Round Table Discussion, under the ‘Chatham House Rule’, on the work of the CIArb’s Practice and Standards Committee which develops and promotes best practice worldwide in all areas of ADR.

 

Speakers on the Evening will be Mr Tim Hardy (Chair of the CIArb Practice and Standards Committee in London) and Mr Ciaran Fahy (ex Chair of the CIArb Irish Branch and member of the Practice and Standards Committee)

 

DISCUSSION TOPICS

Compulsory Adjudication in construction contracts and how the CIArb’s Adjudication Guidelines can help
The use of the CIArb’s Arbitration Guidelines on jurisdictional challenges, interim measures, security for costs and drafting awards
Advantages of the CIArb’s new Rules for International Arbitration & Dispute Boards
What the CIArb Rules and Guidelines say about conflicts of interest and challenges to appointments

  

Entrance is free but pre-registration is required and CPD certificates are available by request though non CIArb members have to pay €20 for a certificate.
