40 Incredible Years - Professor Carolyn Webster-Stratton

The Department of Psychology at Maynooth University and The Psychological Society of Ireland are delighted to invite you to attend 'Psychology at Maynooth University: The Next 20 Years'. We are hosting a very special Public Lecture which will be delivered by Professor Carolyn Webster-Stratton, leading international expert in her field and developer of the world-renowned Incredible Years Parent, Teacher, and Child Training Programmes.

Carolyn Webster-Stratton, Ph.D., M.S.N., M.P.H., is Professor Emeritus and Founder of the Parenting Clinic at the University of Washington School of Nursing. She developed and produced the Incredible Years®: Parents, Teachers and Children training series which comprises (amongst other things) over 70 training DVDs to be used with teachers, parents, and children. These programmes have been translated into 10 languages, to date, and are delivered (with appropriate training, mentoring, and peer coaching) in 23 countries across the world.

Carolyn has received numerous awards including the National Mental Health Lela Rowland Prevention Award for her interventions with families; the prestigious National Mental Health Research Scientist Award; the 2013 Dale Richmond/Justin Coleman Lectureship Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics; the 2017 Trailblazer Award from the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Parenting and Family Special Interest Group; the 2018 Distinguished Career Award from the APA Society of Clinical and Adolescent Psychology; and a Doctor Honoris Causa in 2013 from the Université de Sherbrooke.
