Description
University of Limerick and the Institute of Food Science and Technology of Ireland are delighted to announce the 48th Annual Food Science and Technology Conference. Building on previous successful events in University College Cork, Teagasc and University College Dublin we are delighted that this year University of Limerick will act as host. The primary purpose of the conference is assisting the professional development of young food scientists by providing them with opportunities to present their research in the broader food science and technology area, to interact and network with their peers, and to hear key-note addresses on a range of food-related issues from professionals working in the food industry. It also provides an exciting snapshot of the diversity and depth of food science and technology research ongoing in Ireland and a valuable opportunity to build new collaborations.
At the close of the conference, prizes will be awarded for best oral and poster presentations.
Abstract submission is now open for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words. They should briefly include an introduction, objective and materials and methods. The main focus should be on results and the abstract should end with a conclusion. Sufficient information should be provided (e.g., number of experimental units, means, standard errors and statistical significance) to enable the reader to evaluate the conclusions drawn. The abstract template can be downloaded from here or obtained by request from IFSTIconference2019@ul.ie.
Completed abstracts should be submitted by email to IFSTIconference2019@ul.ie before 1pm on November 29th 2019.
