Event description

Description

Using spoken word and original music SIX DAYS is a highly evocative re-imagining of Easter Week at North King Street during the 1916 Rising.

Ag baint úsáid as an fhocal labhartha agus ceol bunúil, is athshamhlú thar bheith allabhrach é SIX DAYS ar sheachtain na Cásca i Sráid an Rí Thuaidh i rith Éirí Amach na Cásca 1916. Tá SIX DAYS bunaithe ar eispéiris phearsanta iad siúd a mhair fríd na himeachtaí chorraiceacha sin ach beidh sé léirithe ag an drámadóir agus stiúrthóir Frank Shouldice. Ba snípéir é a athairmhór agus a chomhainmneach ag Teach braiche Jameson gur gabhadh é ag Na Ceithre Cúirte. Beidh an focal labhartha in éineacht le ceol úr-cumtha don léiriú ag an dhordvidhleadóir Frieda Freytag.

Using spoken word and original music SIX DAYS is a highly evocative re-imagining of Easter Week at North King Street during the 1916 Rising. Based largely on the personal accounts of those who lived through those tumultuous events SIX DAYS will be performed by playwright and director Frank Shouldice, whose grandfather and namesake was a sniper at the Jameson Malthouse in Smithfield until his arrest at the Four Courts. The spoken word will be accompanied by cellist Frieda Freytag who will compose signature pieces especially for the performance.
