About this event
This collective reading is a gathering for those who are curious about the work of Joanna Macy and her collaborators. Macy is an environmental activist, author, and scholar of Buddhism, general systems theory, and deep ecology. She co-wrote the book Coming Back to Life with Molly Brown. This hour long session will focus on excerpts and practices from that book. It is suitable for people who have little or no prior knowledge of Macy's work and also open to those who do. There is the possibility of continuing the sessions on a regular basis if there in an interest in doing so.
This event will be followed by a walk-through of the ongoing exhibition at St.Peter's, Into the Leaves, with artists Ashleigh Ellis and Cáit Ní Dhuinnín. The walk-through will last approximately one hour from 2.15pm-3.15pm. It is possible to attend just the reading or just the walk-through, as you wish.
