Event description
A day to rest, restore and reset in the hidden heartlands of Co. Westmeath

About this Event

This day retreat integrates 3 core ingredients to meet our intention to 'rest, restore and reset' - mindfulness, nature and yoga.

Begin again! In these coronatimes we continue to move forward, slowly and safely. This is a small gathering where we will utilise the physical distancing recommendations as way to grow a supportive, safe space in community together on this day. We have lots of indoor and outdoor space to meet together safely and enjoy a series of mindfulness, yoga and nature-based activities that are so vital for our health and wellbeing right now.

For many of us the daily friction of living today is unyielding, relentless and exhausting. Maybe we feel that 'stressed' has become our default mode. We are not alone. Human bodies and nervous systems are calling for rest and comfort as we meet this enduring global pandemic. Our hearts and minds may be seeking space for creativity, connection and care. Yet feel uncertain in where to begin. When we connect to our inner nature, we are not the only ones to gain: we become more present and connected with who and what really matters to us. We may be empowered to make choices that allow us to flourish in our lives. Whatever draws you to this retreat, all are welcome.

Join us for a series of encouraging mindfulness practices that will begin the day with energising and warming movement practices. Let Monique skilfully lead you through a yin yoga experience of coming home and connecting mind-body and heart. We will wander in nature with walking meditations and nature-based activities to reconnect with the beauty that is here too and can reveal a deeper understanding of our own nature and the interconnection of our internal and external worlds. On retreat, we can walk in the footsteps of our ancestors as we take this time to stop, step back, review, appreciate and celebrate our achievements at this time of year.

Leave feeling rested, reconnected with our inner strength and ready to embrace the next days of the season with joy and hope.

A nourishing two-course lunch is included in the fee for the day.

Cost: €85

Who? This retreat is ideal for people who may be new to meditation, mindfulness in nature and/or yoga and those ready to bring their 'beginner's mind' to this retreat experience! Experience of these teachings and practices may support a discovery, as others have, of how we may connect with internal and external sources of support and encouragement in life, build resilience and well-being, reduce stress, sleep better, improve relationships and grow a sense of well-being in daily life, especially in the face of personal and global challenges. Research shows the benefits experienced on retreat can extend up to 6 months afterwards.
