About this event
The National Archives, Ireland (NAI) is delighted to present ‘A national treasure trove: using the National Archives for my research’, a talk to be given by Ryan Tubridy in the NAI, Bishop Street, Dublin 8 on Wednesday 9 October at 5.30pm.
Award-winning radio/tv broadcaster and author, Ryan has a deep love of history and politics and has written four books to date. For his first book, 2010 bestseller JFK in Ireland, Ryan conducted much of his research in the National Archives, drawing heavily on files from the record collections of the Departments of Foreign Affairs and the Taoiseach.
A longtime advocate for the archives sector, Ryan is a vocal supporter of the vital role archives play as reliable and authentic sources and witnesses to events. He has wide experience of using original primary source for his research and having used the services of the National Archives, he has a keen appreciation of the richness of the records we hold.
We’re very much looking forward to hosting Ryan as our guest presenter on 9 October next!
The event is free but registration is required.
