A Night for Colin Lawson - Live Music Fundraiser for Maggie's Cancer Care

This January, we’re coming together to celebrate the life of Colin Lawson, who very sadly passed away in early 2025 after a short battle with cancer. When he became ill, he spoke about wanting to raise money for one of our local cancer charities once he got better - and although he’s no longer with us, we wanted to carry out that wish in his memory.

Join us at The Blue Lamp on Saturday 31st January 2026 for an evening of live music. There will be a great line-up of local bands and artists, all coming together to raise funds for Maggie’s Cancer Support, a charity that does incredible work supporting people and families affected by cancer.

Our dad had a huge passion for music and he loved a social gathering - so we thought there was no better way to honour him than with a night full of the sounds he loved, shared with the people who loved him. On the night there will be much loved cover songs from Twisted Felony, The Vacants, Jenna and Sarah Innes, Paul McEwen, Writings on the Wall...and more to be confirmed!

Everyone is welcome, whether you knew Colin or not. Come along, enjoy some great live music, have a dance, raise a glass and help us celebrate his life while supporting a cause close to all our hearts. There will be a a raffle on the night with some amazing prices to be won, so bring some spare change!
