A No-Deal Brexit and Ireland’s Drinks and Hospitality Industry

About this Event

The Drinks Industry Group of Ireland (DIGI) invite you to join us at an exclusive event ‘A No-Deal Brexit and Ireland’s Drinks and Hospitality Industry’ in O’Donoghue's Bar, Merrion Row on Wednesday 25 September at 7pm sharp.

Part of the 2019 Support Your Local campaign, and the final in a three-part nationwide series of events, Newstalk’s Ivan Yates will host a lively discussion on the impact of Brexit and a no-deal on the drinks and hospitality industry in Ireland.

Economist, author and broadcaster, David McWilliams, will join us as keynote speaker.

An industry-led panel discussion will focus on how Brexit and a no-deal scenario will impact on Ireland’s drinks and hospitality businesses (which employ over 175,000 people in Ireland) and the role of government policy in supporting this industry.

A new report, ‘Excise Tax Rates in Europe: How Ireland Compares’, authored by DCU Economist Anthony Foley will be launched at the event.

Support Your Local is a DIGI campaign which seeks to promote the economic, cultural and social contribution the drinks and hospitality industry makes to Ireland.

Refreshments will be served. We hope you can join us.

Tickets to this event are limited, so please register as early as possible.
