About this event
This CPD event for primary teachers and school leaders will explore key aspects of the Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile, along with the recently published Guidance on Preparation for Teaching and Learning and how it impacts how teachers prepare for learning experiences in their own context. The new approaches promoted in the CTB/PLC will be explained/highlighted. This session will have four main aspects:
1. Curaclam
2. Eispéiris Foghlama
3. Guidance on Preparation for Teaching and Learning
4. Implications for practice
At the end of this session, attendees will have a greater understanding of how to make use of these documents in their own context, with a particular emphasis on how they impact Múineadh na Gaeilge.

PRESENTER
David O’Callaghan is an Administrative Deputy Principal in a busy Primary school and an associate with the PDST literacy and leadership teams. Prior to this, David was a literacy advisor with the PDST and worked with hundreds of teachers on literacy pedagogy, as well as facilitating seminars and sustained school support for the PLC/CTB. David was a member of the inter-agency working group that wrote the ‘Guidance on Preparation for Teaching and Learning’ document published last year.
