Event description
The TCD Forum for Disabled Staff & Postgraduate Students will launch our report Ableism in Academia in Ireland

About this event

Following on from the very successful "Ableism in Academia in Ireland" seminar in August 2021. TCDs Forum for Disabled Staff and Postgraduate Students will host the launch of the report titled "Ableism in Academia Ireland" and the video recording from that seminar. This will be followed by a panel discussion between disability rights activists, disabled academics and equality experts from across Higher Education, where they will discuss the implications of the report and look towards future directions.

The report is based on the output from the seminar in August and highlights the many barriers faced by disabled people in academia in Ireland. It also presents recommendations for the future. The Report Launch & Panel Discussion will take place on International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
