About this event
ActionAid Ireland will be opening its office in Dublin for Culture Night on Friday 23rd September 2022, for the first time since 2019.
On the night, Rhythm Africana will perform live from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, bringing a variety of traditional songs from all over Africa. A high energy band that gives a quality performance, Rhythm Africana is led by Justine Nantale founder of Gomba Educare, a school’s outreach programme which tailors cultural programmes to schools throughout Ireland, engaging students through the medium of music, movement and storytelling at both primary and post-primary level.
It will also be an opportunity to view Women by Women, a unique photographic exhibition that champions the inspirational stories of women, and the incredible talent of women photographers in the countries where ActionAid works.
Members of the team will be on hand to chat with you about ActionAid's work, including the Irish Aid funded women’s rights programme and the local rights programmes funded by child sponsorship.
The ActionAid office is located on Granby Place, just off Parnell Square.
