What? Person centred health care: Lessons from research, practice and patients for health services

Where? Clinical Research Building (CERC) (University Hospital Limerick)

How much? This is a free event with support from the HRB (Health Research
Board) and the Health Research Institute (HRI), UL.

This one-day event will bring together researchers, clinicians, service users and patient advocates to share experiences and directions for best practice in healthcare quality.

Speakers will include:

Dr Phillip Crowley National Director for Quality Improvement, HSE

Prof. Frances Mair, Professor of Primary Care Research at the University of Glasgow

Prof. Carl May, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine

Dr Katie Gallacher, Institute of Health & Wellbeing, University of Glasgow

Prof.Gerard Leavy, Bamford Centre for Mental Health & Wellbeing at Ulster University

Topics will include:

Optimising care of patients with chronic illness and multimorbidity

Shared decision-making

Minimally disruptive medicine

Patient-held communication tools
