The Society for Women in Philosophy Ireland (SWIP-I), in conjunction with University College Cork (UCC) School of Philosophy and Politics, are organizing a 2-day Conference on the UCC Campus, with a view to opening up a space for dialogue between artists and academics on the theme: “Aesthetics and the Feminine”, selected in recognition of the fact that women are still a minority group in the Philosophy profession. This conference aims to showcase the work of female aestheticians and artists, as well as to explore representations of the feminine across the arts in order to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be “feminine” (or not) today.
Persons of ALL GENDERS are encouraged to participate at this event!
"Aesthetics and the Feminine" is kindly supported by SWIP-I, UCC School of Philosophy and UCC School of Politics.
