Event description

Description

The British Irish Chamber of Commerce and our sponsors KPMG and Ulster Bank have come together to address the various challenges and opportunities that Brexit has brought about for business interests in the UK and Ireland.

This seminar 'Brexit 1 Year On: What has happened and what is next' will bring together leading figures from across business, public affairs and politics to examine how the Brexit process has progressed since Article 50 was triggered last March while also exploring the likely challenges and outcomes that lie ahead. The seminar will also include practical business advice for those who may be facing Brexit challenges and guidance on the initial steps that businesses should take as they put in place their Brexit plans.

The seminar will feature political addresses from both islands along with a business presentation from our sponsor KPMG. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion that will explore in detail where we are in the Brexit process and the possible outcomes that might emerge over the upcoming months. Topics to be discussed include: the EU and UK priorities for Brexit; likely models for the future relationship; can the UK stop the process; and what are the likely impacts for the British-Irish relationship and the future of the EU.
