Agile Lunch & Learn "Real-time Traffic Engineering & its Application"

Agile Networks in collaboration with Juniper are delighted to offer INEX members exclusive access to our inaugural “Lunch & Learn” event at the Marker Hotel on the 1st of December from 12:00 to 12:45pm. Attendees are welcome to join us for lunch and tutorial around the topic of “Real-Time Traffic Engineering & its Application” The session will be delivered by Dr Julian Lucek (Distinguished Systems Engineer Juniper Networks). Julian’s talk will touch upon:

• Motivation & Use-Cases
• Topology discovery via BGP-LS
• PCEP protocol. Concept of Active Stateful PCE. PCC-delegated LSPs & PCE-initiated LSPs

• Live demo of NorthStar Controller, including Topology Discovery, Diverse Path Computation & Instantiation, Autobandwidth LSPs, Maintenance Mode. Demo of Northbound REST API

• Interaction between packet controller & optical controller using YANG-based data-model

Julian Lucek joined Juniper Networks in 1999 and is currently the Technical Leader for JUNOS for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, where he has been working with many service providers on the design and evolution of their networks. He previously worked at BT for several years, at first in the Photonics Research Department and later in the data transport and routing area. During this time, he gained a PHD in ultrahigh-speed data transmission and processing from Cambridge University. He is the holder of several patents in the area of communications technology. He has a Master's degree in Physics from Cambridge University and holds Juniper Networks certified Internet Expert (JNCIE) certification number 21. His publications include MPLS-Enabled Applications: Emerging Developments and New Technologies which he co-authored with Ina Minei.

Registration is at 11:45 and we will start promptly at 12:00. The tutorial will end at aproximately12:45 and will leave attendees in good time for the start of the INEX event.
