Tenor, Eoin Hynes hails from Galway. He is an honours music graduate from N.U.I Maynooth (B.Mus) and D.I.T Conservatory of Music and Drama (M.Mus Performance). He studied voice with renowned tenor, Emmanuel Lawler and répétiteur Trudi Carberry. A multiple prizewinner at Dublin Feis Ceoil: Joseph O’Mara Cup, Nancy Calthrope Cup, Dermot Troy Trophy, Tenor solo, and the prestigious John McCormack Cup. At D.I.T Conservatory he also won multiple singing competitions for Opera, Oratorio, French Song, including the Gold Medal on two occasions for recital. During 2011-2012 he was accepted into the Young Artist Programme with former Opera Company- Opera Theatre Company, Dublin. During his time with OTC he toured with their production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute in venues around Ireland performing the roles of First Priest, First Armed Man, Slave, and covered the role of Tamino for one performance receiving a glowing review from Terry Blain (Opera Britannia) “Dwyer’s Einspringender was OTC Young Associate Artist Eoin Hynes, who had a hyperactive evening, skipping between the offstage music-stand from which he sang Tamino, and the set itself, where he was already multi-tasking as Priest, Armed Man, and Slave. Talk about a steep learning curve for the young Galway singer. He coped manfully, his light, mellifluous tenor applied tastefully to Tamino’s archingly lyrical melodies. With the added muscle of full vocal maturity Hynes will certainly be a Tamino to reckon with in his own right in the future.”

On the Oratorio platform, Eoin has performed works by Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Rossini, Beethoven, Dvorák, Gounod,Saint-Säens, Britten, Jenkins, Leighton. In 2019, Eoin made two Oratorio role debuts –Evangelist from Bach’s St. John’s Passion and Uriel from Haydn’s Creation. He has performd as tenor soloist with Irish Baroque Orchestra, RTÉ NSO Beethoven Choral Fantasy, RTÉ CO European Premiere of Patrick Cassidy’s Famine Remembrance. In Ireland, Eoin has performed as soloist/principal role in many distinguished venues/cathedrals: National Concert Hall, Gaiety Theatre, Hugh Lane Gallery, Galway Cathedral, St. Patrick’s Cathedral Dublin, St. Patrick’s College Maynooth, St. Canice’s Cathedral. Internationally: Westminster Cathedral, Wembley Arena London, Stephansdom Cathedral Vienna, Heydar Aliyev Center Azerbaijan, Hanau Amphitheater, Germany. 2016, Eoin won joint first in a competition called The Soloist perfoming as soloist with the acclaimed Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland for their Peace Proms Concert Tour at R.D.S Arena Dublin, M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, Odyssey Arena Belfast, Sports Arena UL Limerick. In 2018 he released his debut album Celebration.
