During the hour, I will explain simply what self-compassion is, the ways in which it can improve your experience of life and how to bring these qualities to your approach to living.
Afterwards, I will send material to help you to practise what you have learned in the hour. I will also send a link to an edited video of the event (which won't identify anybody except myself).
It's all too easy to ruminate on our faults and failings, a process which generally gets us nowhere. Self-compassion, being a friend to the person you already are, is the antidote to this. Self-compassion will help you to be more at ease with yourself and other people. It will also make it easier for you to face life's challenges as you know you will be your own friend no matter what.
Many of us - probably most - are also prone to harsh self-criticism which usually achieves nothing except to make us worse. When you adopt self compassion as part of your personal philosophy, you can spot this self-attacking and, usually, soften it or end it.
In this one-hour event I will show you some exercises to help you cultivate this quality, will explain what self-compassion is and how it can help you. I will also point you towards free resources you can use to help you practise.
I will also add you to my Dail Bell mindfulness reminder when you book. This "thought for the day" has been going out by email to subscribers all over the world for over eight years as a recommended part of my course material. You can unsubscribe easily at any time.
This hour could be a very important one in your life. When booking, you can donate €25, €35 or choose your own amount.
In emails or confirmations you get from Eventbrite, scroll all the way down for the message from myself which will also have the Zoom link.
I hope I'll see you there.
