This lunch and learn is a brief introduction to equity crowdfunding. It should provide the attendees with an overview of the crowdfunding process, as well as who it is suitable for.

Tim O’Callaghan, originally from Cork, heads up the partnerships function with Crowdcube, in London. Crowdcube was the first equity crowdfunding platform in the world. They have established themselves as leaders in the space over the past 10 years. Crowdfunding is not just about raising funds through equity there are many advantages which will be delved into during this lunch and learn session.

For any founder interested in raising funds, of which there are many, they should consider all forms of fundraising before deciding on the best option(s). The different forms of raising funds tend to work well in tandem with one another. This lunch and learn will delve into the specifics of crowdfunding and discuss the process involved from a company’s perspective. The best practice and common pitfalls will also be discussed in detail, so you know what to expect when you start the process. Tim, and Crowdcube, are hoping to spread awareness about the positive effect crowdfunding for companies in the NDRC network.
