• An introduction to Fast Fashion: climate change, pollution, and human rights

This workshop explores the destructive, unethical, and unsustainable world of fast fashion. We will identify popular fast-fashion outlets and discuss the impact which the fast fashion business model has on the environment, climate change, wildlife, marine environments, and on the human rights of garment workers. We will also discuss the huge amount of power which consumers have in helping to improve the current unsustainable, unethical fashion industry and how rethinking our purchasing decisions can help to create a more sustainable fashion industry. We will also discuss the importance of using our voice and working together to take collective action to advocate for the necessary system changes to ensure the creation of a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry.
