Our May ‘Inspire’ event is being kindly hosted by Deloitte in their impressive offices in 29, Earlsfort Terrace. This morning event has a packed agenda and we will kindly ask everyone to please arrive for coffee and registration before our 8.00am start.

Joe McLoughlin (Manager Analytics-  Deloitte) – ‘The Business Value of Cognitive Technology’

Dr Grainne Watson (Head of Private Sector – Analytics Engines) – ‘Improving Business Operations with Machine Learning’

Grainne specialises in helping organisations to implement and embed new technologies ( AI, IoT, Cyber, VR, AR). Grainne will speak on how organisations can improve business operations through machine learning.

Colm Moynihan (EMEA Partner Manager – Cloudera) – ‘Open Source Machine Learning’

Colm will discuss how Government, Telco and Financial organisation are using Open Source machine learning libraries to undercover new insights.  Industries are using data and open source to find new techniques for predictive maintenance, dynamic pricing, facial recognition and AML to improve decisions, reduce costs and increase revenue.

Marco Grimaldi (Senior Manager Analytics Deloitte) – ‘Cognitive Analytics based on Computer Vision from Deep Learning use cases’

The automatic extraction, analysis and understanding of useful information from a single image or a sequence of images. The goal of Cognitive Computing is to simulate human thought processes in a computerized model. Cognitive Analytics can refer to a range of different analytical strategies used to learn business related functions.
