A talk on anger management strategies for neurodiverse children for parents, teachers and carers with Dr Dorothy Armstrong

About this event

This webinar is aimed at parents, teachers and those who work with neurodiverse children (children on the autism spectrum and/or with ADHD, DCD/Dyspraxia). It will cover the following issues:

What makes some neurodiverse children more susceptible to angry outbursts

Strategies to help children manage their anger – a compassionate approach

Diet, exercise and staying calm

Dealing with meltdowns – when the neurodiverse child becomes overwhelmed

There will be a talk and time for questions.

Dr Dorothy Armstrong (MSc PhD) is an Occupational Therapist who works with people who are neurodiverse. She specialises in working with teenagers, young adults and adults with High Functioning Autism (Asperger's), Developmental Coordination Disorder (Dyspraxia), and/or ADHD who also have mental health issues and/or difficulties in the area of executive function.
