Event description
Join Academy Award® nominated writer & Pixar story veteran Jim Capobianco + THE INVENTOR crew for a series of masterclasses in animation.

About this event

Currently in pre-production THE INVENTOR is a new stop motion and 2D animated film about Leonardo da Vinci. The film brings together people who have been behind some of the greatest animated films we know and love today - Ratatouille, Isle of Dogs, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Song of The Sea, Fantastic Mr. Fox & The Lion King and we'd like you to meet them.

Jim will be hosting a series of animation masterclasses with different members of the creative team and crew, while they are making the film, to share an insight into the world of animation and film making.

Online Animation Masterclass #4: Storyboarding a Narrative | Jim Capobianco with Tatiana Moniz

Wednesday September 29th, 2021 @ 12pm PDT / 8pm GMT+1 / 9pm CEST

In this fourth masterclass we will explore how the team ventured into developing the story and storyboarding the film. Writer / Director Jim Capobianco will be interviewed by story artist Tatiana Moniz about how the story of The Inventor came to be and how it has evolved.

Tatiana Moniz is a Brazilian storyboarder and 2d animator with too much energy to sit still and follow just one passion. She was born and raised in Brazil, running around her house yelling magic words that would supposedly give her super powers and glueing her drawings on all the wall spaces she could reach. From Rio de Janeiro, she moved to San Francisco to study at California College of The Arts and is currently located in Atlanta, working as a freelancer.
