Welcome to Annascaul Arts Festival 2021 organized by Annascaul Adventures with prizes of 100 Euro for best art piece

About this event

This is a great family day of fun of Art in Annascaul beginning 10am Saturday 

The event includes;

Planet and galaxy painting with Donna Twydell 10am

* ** Planet, stars and galaxy painting using a variety of fun techniques, with acrylic paint on hardboard. All ages welcome.

* ** Eye, Hand & Mind with Angie - Give your brain a workout in this fun Contour Drawing Workshop and create some memorable  pictures of the village. 10am &  1.30 pm

* ** Mindful drawing, inspired by the nature exploring “Seeing" and with gentle guidance letting our Hands-Eyes and Breathe guide the drawing.This workshop is suitable for everyone who feels they can’t draw and would like to explore the possibility of expressing themselves, regardless of the Inner Critique with Silke 10 am & 1.30pm

* ** Primary school children will create a beautiful miniature garden  to take home with Liz Brookes. 10am

* ** Creating a Woodland Floral with Liz Brookes - Table Log or a Floral Door Swag with Annascaul Floral Artist and Garden Club with Liz   1.30pm

* ** Steam Trains with Ellie O'Flynn A story telling and  fun, creative experience for children, through listening,imagining, movement,sound, drawing, painting and more. 10.30am only

* ** River walk with Una ni She- Collection of nature objects in riverwalk  and incorporating them into art with berries mixed to create ink. 10am &  1.30 pm

* ** Puppet show 12am

* ** Animation with Aisling - Digital Art and techniques used . Location Annascaul Cafe 10am & 1.30

* ** Mono printing. Using ink or paint and paper with Margaret at 10am and 1.30pm

* ** Turning nature into art. Walk the river walk and create mini art master pirces from the items collected with Ciara Dorgan 10am and 3pm

* ** Live music all day Drumming with Martin and friends

Can you share this event with all your Kerry friends. It is an unusual festival on the streets and the local park. There is a great play ground and the village provides wonderful food . Bring your own materials and do our communal mural outside AnnascaulCafe will be to have 10 artists where the abilities of each participant will be assigned to an artist on the day. Each artist will have outdoor work shops where they will develop an idea and ask the group that is with them to work on that theme. Each person has the option of 2 workshops. They begin at 10.00 to 11.30 and again from1.30 to 3pm. There will be child friendly options and workshops for adults to include pottery, fineart, rock painting and eco garden creation

Annscaul Adventures are collaborating and working with all of these artists ( Abe Boland , Una Ni She, Rochelle Lucey, Ellie Flynn, Roz, Pat and Tony Owen, Liz Brookes, Ciara Dorgan of Art House Killarney ,

You can then ask for feed back from any of the artists that will be available through out the day. We will put up the work of each artist during the month and you can decide which artist you would like to collaborate with . The event is open to eveyone and is family orientated.

Additionally the event caters to adults also and the committee will put them into specific groups on the day. Everyone can avail of 2 work shops

There will be work shops for children to include chalk painting, stone painting and community canvases. Children up to the age if 18 must be accompanied by their parents .

Benches and work stations throughout the village will be in place. Participants should bring their art gear - i.e medium of choice . Also bring suitable clothing, an easel and something hard to paint on etc. Each participant must register here on EventBright. You may be able to register on the day but availability can not be guaranteed. If you are not able to attend but would like to participate in fund raising then feel free to share this or complete.
