About this event
National College of Ireland is excited to invite you to this seminar on the theme of anti-racism and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Featuring a presentation from Andratesha Fritzgerald and insights from student leaders, this workshop aims to explore how UDL can be used to implement anti-racist teaching practices in Irish Higher and Further Education settings.
Andratesha has been a teacher and leader in urban schools in Cleveland, Ohio, for nearly 20 years and will share her experience of valuing and honouring diversity in learning environments. The seminar will also feature the insights and experiences of a number of student leaders. This aspect of the seminar will be coordinated by Sandrine Ndahiro of Unsilencing Black Voices. Sandrine is an activist, film-maker and PhD candidate at the University of Limerick.
Funding for this event was provided as part of the National Seminar Series by The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education & The Higher Education Authority.
