Event description
A roundtable discussion on modern histories of feminism and anti-feminism and a book launch for Sharon Crozier-De Rosa. All welcome!

About this Event

A roundtable discussion on feminism and anti-feminism from 1900 to the present day with Senator Ivana Bacik, Dr Sharon Crozier-De Rosa (University of Wollongong), Dr Mary McAuliffe (UCD) and Dr Clare Tebbutt (TCD). Feminist activism -and anti-feminist legislation - is thriving at the moment: what are the recent histories of feminism and anti-feminism and what can we learn from them?

Following on from the roundtable there will be a booklaunch for Sharon Crozier-De Rosa's latest books, Shame and the Anti-Feminist Backlash: Britain, Ireland and Australia, 1890-1920 (Routledge, 2018) and Sharon Crozier-De Rosa and Vera Mackie, Remembering Women's Activism (Routledge, 2019).

This event is organised by the Centre for Gender and Women's Studies at Trinity College Dublin in association with the Women's History Association of Ireland.
