Event description

Description

This workshop will introduce the concepts of thermal comfort in buildings. Maintaining standards of thermal comfort for occupants of buildings is one of the important goals of heating, ventilation and air conditioning design. Most people will feel comfortable at room temperatures of 20 to 22 °C, but this may vary greatly between individuals and depending on factors such as activity level, clothing, and humidity. In this workshop students will measure various parameters of indoor environment and use them to quantify their satisfaction with the indoor thermal environment.

There will be two workshop times: 11am, 12pm

20 tickets can be pre-booked for each workshop. There will be 10 additional tickets available on the day on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please book one ticket per child. Children must be accompanied by parents/guardians. Parents/guardians do not require a ticket.
