Around Ireland challenge

Virtually travel around the coast of Ireland by doing mileage wherever you are. You can do all or some of your mileage with or without a dog, choose one form of exercise to do the whole challenge or mix exercise. Walk, run, cycle, canicross, bikejore, scoot, mush, rollerskate, ski, kayak, swim or any form of exercise to get you around the island.

We are using virtual map app for the challenge, if you download the app, you can sync your phone exercise app or smart watch to it so that it uploads the distance automatically or you can record your mileage and upload it manually. If you'd rather not download the app, just log onto the website to enter the mileage.

We are fundraising for The Samaritans as well the CI club, and there is an option for an extra donation to the Samaritans on the entry form.

You can do 500kms, 1000kms or the whole thing of 2874kms. Medals will be awarded of Bronze, Silver and Gold. You don't need to specify what distance you want to do on sign up, see how you get on and let us know.

A medal and buff is included in the entry price and a t-shirt is an optional extra. We have to pay for the virtual mapping, but we think it is worthwhile for the experience and buzz of seeing where you are as you progress in the challenge.

We will be throwing small challenges at you during the year, so watch out for them.

We have a private Facebook group set up for challenge participants, and you will be added to that when you sign up along with the link to the virtual map.
