To accompany the Glucksman's new exhibition Home, participating artists will discuss their practices, exhibited works, and recent projects.

About this event

Julia Pallone comes from Angers, France and moved to Kinsale, Co Cork, in 2006. She graduated with a Masters in Fine Art in 2002 from The Ecole des beaux Arts in Nantes, France and has also studied at the Accademia delle belle Arti in Venice and at the Sorbonne in Paris. In Ireland Julia has shown work in Uillinn / West Cork Arts Centre, Skibbereen; Crawford Art Gallery, Cork; and Galway Art Centre; amongst others. She has also presented solo exhibitions in The Droichead Art Centre, Drogheda; Ballina Art Centre, Mayo; Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge; and Clonmel Art Centre. She has been awarded art residencies at The National Sculpture Factory and The Tyrone Guthrie Centre In Ireland, and many others abroad, in France, Germany and Malta. She has previously been a recipient of several bursaries including Arts Council and Cork County Council and was commissioned by Cork County Council for the Fort Camden Project.

Accompanying the Glucksman's 2021 exhibition Home: Being and belonging in contemporary Ireland, this series of online artist talks invites participating artists to discuss their practices. These talks are free and will take place throughout the duration of Home.
