Event description
A unique opportunity for writers living in the Munster area

About this Event

At this event hosted by the Munster Literature Centre, Sarah Bannan, head of literature at the Arts Council will present a clinic on how to apply for a literature bursary award, answering such questions as:

  • What are the eligibility requirements?
  • How does the online application process work?
  • What should I attach as supporting material?
  • How do I best demonstrate I can make good use of the award?

The purpose of the award is to support professional writers to develop their art practice. It provides writers with the time and resources to think, research, reflect and critically engage with their art. The deadline for the next round of the Literature Bursary Award (for writers working in English) is Thursday 31 January 2019 at 5.30pm.

Attendance is free, but ticketed. Ticket holders must arrive by 6.55pm to secure their place.

For more information on the Literature Bursary Award and to download a copy of the award guidelines, please visit the available funding section of the Arts Council’s website. You can contact the Arts Council on (01)6180200 or email awards@artscouncil.ie
