About this event

In addition to the significant economic impact Study Abroad has on local communities, it can also serve to form a meaningful connection. Community Engagement and Service-Learning have become important components to many educational programmes in recent years, as they promote a deeper learning experience for students as well as benefits to the communities in which they serve.

We will hear from three Study Abroad providers- Duquesne University, University of Notre Dame, and Champlain College- about the Community Engagment they have developed and the impact it has had thus far on their students and their communities.

Organised by

The Association of Study Abroad Providers in Ireland is the unified voice of the Irish study abroad sector. ASAPI serves as a platform for shared information, staff training, development, and support for everyone who affects the study abroad experience. We contribute to discussions with relevant government agencies on regulatory guidelines,  raise awareness of the sector amongst government agencies, and promote improved standards throughout Irish study abroad in addressing the needs of the present and demands of the future.
