Cara have a suite of workshops that have being developed to meet the needs of specific sectors, aimed at increasing the knowledge and understanding of those coaching, teaching and instructing people with disabilities in those sectors. Our workshops are fully endorsed by Sport Ireland.
Eligibility
Each attendee must be 16 years of age on the first day of a Cara workshop that they are attending.
The Autism in Sport Online Workshop is an interactive course which requires participants to have :
- Good internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion
- Access to email - Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date in word and PDF.
- To gain accreditation, it is essential to complete the whole course
Certificates of completion will be issued by post and participant details are subsequently registered with Sport Ireland's National Database.
Photographic or Video Permission
All attendees on Cara workshops may be used in photographic or video material for promotional purposes by Cara. If any attendee does not want to be photographed or videoed by Cara for promotional purposes, they must express this to the Lead Tutor prior to the commencement of the workshop.
Event Cancellation
Cara reserve the right to cancel a training workshop in the unlikely event of the; minimum number of attendees not meeting quota, weather negatively affecting participants safety, etc. If an event is cancelled by Cara or the workshop facilitator each attendee on the workshop will be offered a full refund or placement on a future equivalent workshop by the workshop facilitator.
Data Protection and Privacy
The information you provide will be collated and processed for the purposes of:
• The operation and administration of training and education workshops organised by Cara.
• The provision of attendee statistics to relevant third parties.
• Research into the developing of future sports inclusion policies.
NOTE: All attendees’ data will be anonymised prior to being used in research and statistical information.
For the purpose of our organisation, the personal data collected within the participant registration, evaluation and, if applicable, the data in the license management system will be saved.
The data collection is used only for improving and simplifying the technical and organisational processes within Cara, the establishment of direct channels of communication between workshop attendees and Cara and improving the data quality for evaluations and statistics.
I understand that I am taking part in this workshop at my own risk and will not hold the Tipperary Sports Partnership, and any of its constituent members collectively or individually responsible for any accident or incident in which I am involved in, in connection with the Autism in Sport Online Workshop.
