AUTUMN MINDFULNESS - Learn tools to reduce stress

The London Centre for Mindfulness is offering the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction courses devised by medical doctor and pioneer, Jon Kabat Zinn, at the peaceful venue of Jamyang Buddhist Centre, close to Kennington Tube.
The MBSR course is an established 8 weeks course with an introductory session. It leads the participant skilfully through a series of meditations and gentle physical exercises designed to help one to become aware of habitual thought patterns which often lead to stress, anxiety and depression and to offer tools to be able to transform these into more positive mental states.
This is a very effective secular meditation course that is directed both at the experienced meditator and the beginner. It offers an introduction to a variety of practical meditation tools which allow one to become aware of and transform habitual thought patterns which may not be helpful. Meditations range from 3 to 40 minutes. These can lead to a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind. The course is endorsed by many health care providers and is highly recommended by those who have experienced its benefits.
The course has been highly recommended by participants and post course follow up in the form of drop in sessions and full practice days are offered to course graduates. A morning and evening course will be running at the same time.
The cost is £250 for the evening 8 weeks course and £200 for the morning course, which covers the cost of all course materials and full practice day with lunch. Concessions are available for students, unwaged and low-waged.
