Breaking Trad is made up of Dónal Murphy (Accordion), David Doocey (Fiddle), and Mike Galvin (Guitar/Vocals).
Dónal Murphy has performed at the festival with Four Men and a Dog on many occasions and this year he’s back with “Breaking Trad”. Dónal is originally from Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick and is a winner of countless All-Ireland titles.
David Doocey, from Foxford, Co. Mayo has travelled with numerous bands and is a previous winner of the coveted Fiddler of Oriel trophy.
Mike Galvin has a vast experience of working in different genres from rock and roll to Irish traditional music.
Their music has been described as ‘Dazzling’, ‘Unorthodox and Unique’.
