About this event
Banríon is a Dublin-based indie rock band that have been described as ‘one of the most thrilling forces in Irish indie-rock’ by Hot Press. They take their influences from their favourite indie and alt-rock artists such as Snail Mail, Alex G and Big Thief. They have cut their teeth in the DIY scene across Ireland, you’ll often find them playing shows with pals in the likes of Workmans, the Grand Social, Bello Bar and Whelans. They have been critically acclaimed by the Irish music industry; being named as ones to watch by The Independent for 2023, their first single from the new EP ‘fooling’ was named by Nialler9 as the 29th best Irish song of 2022 and they were selected to play Ireland Music Week 2022, Other Voices and We’ve Only Just Begun Festival.
They're excited to launch their new EP 'dare to crush' on the 1st of February and to mark this by going on a small tour of Galway, Cork, Limerick and Dublin in late-February and early March.
