We take you on the coffee journey from the coffee cherry at the farm on the tree all the way to an espresso in a cup. We talk you through Coffee Origins, the green bean processing, roasting techniques and styles. We have a look at some bean samples and roast samples, and spend the morning working on the most important part of your offering – the espresso shot. Each barista has their own station at a competition standard espresso machine to work from. Each barista has complete access to their own station ALL DAY for optimum training and results. After lunch we take a look at the cafe drinks menu, drink pricing and sizes and presentation, from americano to flat whites. We dispel some milk myths and give you an exercise to work on to make your milk texturing perfect. We show you how to pour cafe latte and cappuccino. There is a short exam at the end of the day, and all participants receive a certificate of completion for the Barista Level 1 training day. For cafe owners we run custom built barista training classes depending on your needs, these are carried out on-site on your own machine and are perfect for topping up some previous training or for new staff.
