About this event
Composer Fiona Linnane and the Limerick Bat Group will lead a creative session exploring how we can learn to really tune in to the sounds around us and respond to them in a creative way, including the calls of the bats of Curraghchase. All materials will be provided. Suitable for all ages (however, if booking for children you may prefer to attend the earlier family friendly event at 6pm)
Following this session you will be invited to explore a new installation among the trees. Wander the path and listen to the stories of all things batty from Limerick Bat Group and composer Fiona Linnane. You may even hear the weird and wonderful call of the charismatic Lesser Horseshoe!
To complete the evening Limerick Bat Group's Albert Nolan will lead a bat walk through the park, including the opportunity to learn how to use bat detectors.
This is an outdoor event so wear suitable clothing and footwear. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Supported by Arts Council of Ireland Artist in the Community Scheme and Limerick Arts Office
