This 1 day workshop introduces the concept of 'becoming trauma informed' and will cover the topics of:
- Trauma Definitions,
- ACES
- Transition Trauma, Prevalence & Impacts of Trauma,
- Recognizing Trauma Signals,
- Responding to Trauma, (key elements),
- Building Resistance
The workshop will run from 9:45- 4:15 and lunch will be provided. This workshop is open to staff from Tusla funded organisations and foster careres.
The learning Objectives are:
- List the 4 ‘R’s of being Trauma Informed
- Recognise trauma signs and behaviours
- Describe Transition Trauma
- List and describe the original 10 ACE’s
- Explain the ‘B.O.H.’ approach to resisting trauma
