Event description
A series of four online bi-lingual Art based workshops is aimed at 15 participants aged 9-12.

About this event

This series of 4 online Bi-Lingual Art based workshops is aimed at 15 participants aged 9-13.

Preferably, Participants will sign up for the whole series of workshops, but it is possible to do them individually. Preference will be given to those who sign up for the whole series.

During these workshops we will gently reflect on what positive personal experiences may have come out of this unprecedented time of Lockdown in Ireland.

Open to boys and girls, can also focus more on leaf shapes, for a nature crown.

The workshops will be BILINGUAL in nature, incorporating Irish words and phrases as much as possible. Descriptions of Art materials, some instruction and prompts will be given in Irish, as well as English, to allow for inclusivity.

Participants will be encouraged to use any Irish they have, even one or two words.

Materials:

- We will use recycled materials that can be found around the home, as much as possible.

- A materials list will be sent out to registrants at least a week before first workshop, so they can begin to gather materials. Eg newspaper, old magazines, envelopes, cardboard, easter foil, sweet wrappers, glue, scissors etc.

- This will also include a ‘Scavenger Hunt’ list, to gather various materials and found objects from their environments.

- An additional ‘Fancy Materials Pack’ will be posted out to participants containing extra fancy papers, wool and string and wire, sparkly bits and beads so they can participate without having to purchase extra supplies. I will put these packs together (it has been loosely arranged with Maebh that Cork Co.Co may post them out for privacy issues. )
