Biodiversity Week Tour: Alien Arrivals
Event Information
About this event
Invasive alien species are said to be one of the primary causes of the global decline in biodiversity. But what exactly are alien species, where do they come from, and how have they become problematic? This Biodiversity Week, join us at the National Botanic Gardens for a walk and talk to discover some of the alien species that have colonised Ireland. Learn to recognise and record some of the most important invasive species that occur locally, understand their impacts on Irish ecosystems and discuss potential solutions to this global challenge.
